The judges said:
"Highly creative, well thought out, well executed educational interactive. Beautiful design, excellent animations, multiple levels of information and possibilities for experiencing the interactive different ways... Fabulous--multiple experiences, appeals to senses and intellect of all ages."

A Tip From the Producers:
"The tip with any very hands-on interactive that uses buttons, joysticks, T-bars etc and is thrown open to the public saying "come and have a go", is to design and build it to the highest standards of durability. The scale goes something like this - Home; School; Industry; Military; Museum. Raincheck 3000 was built to Museum specifications, and it had to be!"

The judges said:
" This was an awesome example of what a quality web page should look like, including instinctive navigation, Well written text and beautiful graphics…. A website you can actually USE – now, there’s a wacky idea!"

A Tip From the Producers:
"One benefit of having the Seafood Watch program online with such rich content is that it can become an educational tool for a variety of uses. We have received emails from many high schools, home economics classes, college professors and even chefs operating cooking schools about how they have incorporated our content into a learning experience for their students. This is tangible evidence of the effectiveness of expanding the program's reach through our web content."

The judges said:
" What a great way to demonstrate the sounds of nature...an easy interface with an appeal to all ages... The fact that guy is just a guy – not serious, not geeky – felt very natural. Imitating sounds is a really neat activity. But even neater was being able to see and compare sounds. Very good for its age-range."

A Tip From the Producers:
"The visualization provided by the two sonographs really helps the visitor appreciate the subtlety and complexity of animal sound."

Museum visitors enjoying ViewSpaceBronze: ViewSpace
Space Telescope Science Institute
CD-ROM

The judges said:
"This was great. It was like seeing a sky show on my PC. And while the images were spectacular, it wasn't just about the images. The content was great, too -- interesting, clear, well-presented, and wonderfully illustrated with these great photos."

A Tip from the Producers:
"With the ViewSpace project we have found, to our delight, that museum audiences will linger for long periods and drink in Hubble's amazing views of the universe. The essential accessory to our program is comfortable seats!"

The judges said:
" I loved this. I would have been caught playing with this! Delivering the morphing film as a reward--instills the idea of change over time in a very fun and dramatic way. Integrates exhibition concept with an activity very well."
