All About the 2004 MUSE Awards

The Media and Technology Standing Professional Committee is pleased to announce the winners of the 2004 Muse Awards recognizing excellence in all varieties of media programs produced by or for museums. Now in its fifteen year, the Muse Awards competition has received number of applications from a wide variety of museums in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Media formats received were closely divided into categories: videos, DVDs, CD-ROMs, Web sites, audio tours, and gallery installations. This year we are presenting 7 gold, 7 silver, 8 bronze and 11 honorable mention Muse Awards among six categories during a special ceremony at the AAM New Orleans conference on May 7, 2004. More than 25 judges—museum and media professionals from across the country—were involved in the process of selecting the winners. The Muse Awards 2004 would not have achieved its goal and mission without their tremendous effort, commitment, and service. Check out the Muse Awards winners' page, which includes jurors' comments, tips from producers, and large color images of the media programs.
